Last Thursday, the Subcommittee on Government Management, Organization and Procurement held a hearing entitlled, “E-Verify: Challenges and Opportunities.” The speakers at the testimony included, Jena Baker McNeill from Heritage Foundation, Angelo Amador from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, David Rust from the Social Security Administration, and Gerri Ratliff from USCIS.
It appears more and more likely that e-verify will be in play when Congress turns its full attention to comprehensive immigration reform. I am sure that this won’t be the last hearing on this program.
